01 ram 1500 4x4 won't stay engaged.

Hey guys! Need some help with fixing my 4WD. It will engage. Light turns on, but will disengage (clunking, light goes out) then will engage again on its own. (Light goes on etc.) On its own. I have done work on the 4x4 this past summer. Universal etc. Because it wasn't engaging at all. Any ideas? Linkage? Transfer case?? https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/dodgefo...93320c9ab3.jpg

Vacuum.

The front axle is controlled by a vacuum switch on the T-case. It routes vacuum to an actuator on the front axle, that engages/disengages the front axle. Lots of really good information to be found here. :) Probably an easy fix.

To save you some time troubleshooting this (unless you have nothing but time on your hands), you might want to think about going straight to the posi-lok site and get you one.

Not that hard to install and now, it becomes strictly a mechanical movement.
