Default Transmission confusion

1999 Dodge Ram 1500 5.9 magnum Alright so I replaced my pressure sensor and a few others located near the filter and changed the fluid and filter and the tranny shifts a bit smoother but still behaves generally the same and has moments where it erratically shifts from second to third to second when at about 40mph. Then sometimes it drives somewhat normally. I went and got it scanned and codes came up saying the torque converter clutch was bad and also the 3-4 solenoid was bad but my real question is will replacing these two things be the end all problem or does it seem like I have a bigger issue? I am out of ideas besides replacing the torque converter and solenoid.

I don't think either will solve the problem. Clear the codes, drive it for a while, and see if they come back.

I think on some years, the spring was left completely out..... But, not 100% on which spring it was.... (it's somewhere in MonteC's thread..... if you wanna go looking.) If it ISN'T that one though, you should replace it..... Just in case.
