'95 Ram 1500 5.9L engine, transfer case swap to '99 Ram 1500 5.9L
The transfer case in the 99 dodge cracked and I have a 95 with all good parts, the 99 just looks much better but has a cracked head, so. Was wondering if it was possible, which by my research is, but what things I should look out for and/or do to make it easier and better in the long run. I want to keep the tranny from the 99 in it because the one in the '95 leaks but I want to swap the engine and transfer case. What other things should I consider swapping in this process.
-Thank you all

Shift pattern is different. Keep that in mind.

What would you recommend doing about that?
How would I remedy that problem?

I think the shifter for the t-case mounts differently as well. I think the "older" versions the shift actually mounted to the trans??? and on later models is mounted to the body. Think I would be tempted to just screw the old shift ****, that has the correct shift pattern, to the shifter, and see if it would work.

Are you meaning shifter like as in standard. Both trucks are automatic. I am semi confused.

Shifter for the t-case. I don't know if the newer trans will have the provisions for the mounts for the older shifter. Wouldn't hurt to look.
You *might* be able to get away with just unscrewing the *****, and swapping them, so your **** actually reflects the correct shift pattern.
