I have a 99 ram 1500 4x4 with rear abs 360 automatic the brakes seem to work fine under regular stopping but when I have to stop fast and push the pedal hard and fast it is almost like you don't have any brakes I have almost hit the person in front of me a couple of times it has new brake lines hoses rear wheel cyl. pads everything is good anybody have any ideas what would cause this? thanks in advance for any help
when you really have to come down on the pedal to make a fast stop the pedal feels like it is going to the floor and it will just barely stop you I have bled the brakes several times because I thought it had air in them tried sliding the wheels in gravel and in grass and nothing seems to help.
doesn't build up any I have about 1/2 to 3/4 pedal normal driving but when you have to stop fast and stomp on pedal it goes almost to the floor and will barely stop you scary in traffic.
