Default Seat belt control module

1999 Dodge Ram 1500 5.9 magnum, seat belts are locked and want to replace the control module under the center console and curious if this is a part that is married to one truck or can I take one from the junk yard ? Only reason I ask is cause all the websites I've tried to order the part from have all discontinued it so I have no other options unless anyone knows where I can get one. Thanks any input is appricated

I think they are all pretty much the same. Give it a shot.

If you can't find one locally then these guys might have one http://www.mintonmotorsinc.com/

I was reading where one guy had the same issue and a steel ball in the SCTM had fallen out. He fixed it by putting the ball back in, check that before you buy one.

Default 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 Seat Belt control module

May be wrong to post here but can't find General discussion/NON-tech and need help.
Need a 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 Seat Belt control module.
Mechanics and private individuals will not do the work around suggestions. I am told it is due to liability issues. Understandable and I may die in a crash without seat belts. Also been told my insurance is no good with the work around nor is it any good if I don't have seat belts????
Okay, so I want to live and be safe and I don't need a $250 seat belt fine in the state and city I live. HELP!!! I have filed a complaint with the National Safety board but that is no help. Forums date last in 2014 say they were on National back order. Dealership says they can no longer get them and online sites are all saying discontinued. I want to be alive now!!!! Want my insurance to be good! Anyone out there know what I can do to get one for me and my passengers safety and to be lawful.

Try car-part.com, and see if you can find one on the used market.
