How many miles on it?

When it warms up, will it move at all? Or does it act like its in neutral?

Verify fluid level. Get the trans warm, and check it in Neutral. Checking in park will give an artificially high reading.

Unfortunately, I think that means its time for a rebuild. First three gears (and reverse) are completely mechanically controlled, no electronics involved.....

While heres an update .. I had the transmission rebuilt and got to drive it for a total of 2 days just for it to mess up again. Went back to the shop and they said that the overdrive wasn't getting any fluids.. okay.. but this was after they tried to say my rear end was locked up and that was the reason the tranny went out again.. turns out they didn't take off the parking brake. Now that I have my truck back again it still slips from 2nd to 3rd and the front seal is leaking. Plus they lost one of the bolts to my drive shaft and put one in that has 4 washers behind it and they also put weights on the top and bottom of my drive shaft.. I mean the transmission just looks a whole lot smaller then my old one.. so I need help on a good transmission place in okc.. please help
