Default 98 Dodge Ram 1500 5.2 Lt stall and dies while driving. What could it be?

98 Dodge Ram 5.2 Lt is stalling while driving. Pump gas peddle and it restarts while driving. Changed fuel pump. Tested on computer for errors and nothing. Still stalls while driving. Changed coil wiring. What else could it be?

With an intermittent failure like that, it is going to be hard to find..... are there any codes?

does it stall whilst idling? 1)Listen for the ubiquitous "hiss" of the idle air control valve on the throttle body opening waaay too wide. 2)Another possibility is the intake air temp sensor on the passenger side on the front intake runner for thew #1 cylinder. If it's covered in oil, then the ECM gets a false signal. This can be caused by a blown plenum. 3)If you got a scanner tool that reads live data (you can get one a wally world for round $40) n watch your fuel trims/both short term n long term n see how far...if at all...they wander from "0". If you get a high positive trim, then you got a vacuum leak that the ECM doesn't see, if it's high negative then you got too much fuel drowning the engine out. Short term trim is the most telling. BTW if you do this check, then the only reliable reading comes at constant engine load. 4)The upstream O2 sensor might be sticking. 5)The "cat" might finally be clogged enough to cause back pressures that foul out the cylinders. Things to ponder, all easily checked...AND...most exhaust shops will test the "cat" back pressure for free.
