Default 1999 Ram 1500 4x4 Steering upgrades

Hey guys, I have a question on steering upgrades for my 99 ram 1500 4x4. Just did a leveling kit on my ram and noticed that the front axle had shifted to the driver's side about an 1in. No big deal just figured it was the track bar and was going to get a HD adjustable one and get a alignment and go on. Well I have now noticed that my truck's frontend, having 176,000 miles, is pretty much a disaster waiting to happen. So I figured instead of ordering OEM parts and having to do it again later down the road, I would get HD parts. Well let me tell you finding good steering part's for a 99 ram 1500 4x4 is about impossible, holy hell of the 2500 and 3500 upgrades but for a 1500 theirs barely any. Was looking at the synergy tie rod and drag link kit but seen were some guys were having problems with them, is their any other HD kit's available for the 1500 4x4s? Thanks, Dalton

I *think* the factory HD kit from the heavier trucks is a direct bolt-in on the half ton trucks of that age. (I think.....) If you are replacing the track bar anyway, get the third gen adjustable style, and correct bracket for it. It is a MUCH better design. (poly bushings at both ends. Never have to replace it again.)

Factory HD parts should be available from any parts store. (rock auto?)

Lots of companies offer the trackbar upgrade kit, pick one ya like. Granted, they ain't cheap, but, fix it once, and never have to worry about it again.

The HD steering is only a bolt in for the 96 and 97 truck 98 and above 1500 you have to drill out the knuckles

You are welcome the only kits you will find are if you build them yourself. Or if you swap your knuckles to the 96/97 knuckles
