02 sensor, truck side harness
Anyone able to tell me where and how the truck side of the 02 harness gets secured? Is it on the transmission/transfer case, or the body?
PO seems to have messed with it, then used some wire ties to goof it all up. I don't see any standoffs or brackets on the tcase or trans that would tie down the harness. Thinking I should double check the colors to make sure I've got the 02 sensors connected to the proper harness connectors. Right now, I don't like how close the wires are to the exhaust. For a while I had wished that the PO did more maintenance while owning it... now I'm realizing that him neglecting the truck was more blessing than curse ! |
The harness side plug should have a plastic nipple sticking out of it, and the rear one gets attached to a bracket on the transfer case the front one on the tranny would you like pics?

Thanks!!!! Yep, no bracket exists on this truck... Guess I could make one... or I'll add it to the jyard list. not looking forward to trying to get one out of the yard, 3 days of rain last weekend - it'll be like going for a swim.

Is that bracket at the very top of the trans?
