Yes correct. If you use shorter bolts and a Fel Pro gasket you should never have to go back into it. I did the aluminum just to be safe

Ok. Should I install one of the new bolts to see how much shorter it needs to be? I don't wanna just guess at the length. Sorry for my ignorance.

Hand tighten the new bolt to the plenum, and measure the distance between the bolt head and the plenum. Then take the angle grinder and take couple of threads off if they are too long.

First, I should tell you that I don't have the plenum cover off, yet. The long silver bolts in the picture are for attaching the plenum cover to the heads. These are the same length as the one that I took out. The small black bolts in the picture must be for attaching the plenum plate to the plenum cover. Since I don't have the cover off, yet, I'm unsure of the length comparison. Which of these bolts is too long? Again, please excuse my dumbness.

Correct. If you cut the tips off of them, they will be fine. (there is a short, unthreaded tip on the bolts.)
