Need help asap I'm lost
 

1997 ram 1500 v6 So I got my truck a couple weeks ago and said cylinder 4 misfire because the plug wire#4 was melted because it was touching header, so I got new wires and replaced them and my truck started and drive 50 feet and it ran crappy and died I did replace each wire 1by1 so after that I put my old wires back on 1by1 and got a crank no start and I quadruple checked that I got wires right, and when I try and start it I get a backfire, gen light is also on buy has new alternator from previous owner, so then I replaced the coil, distributor cap and rotor, spark plugs,

Do you have fuel pressure? Have you verified spark at the plug

I do have Good spark, haven't checked fuel pressure but I tried fuel down the throttle body, and ether

Any chance the distributor moved when you worked back there ? Or the wires coming out of the distributor got damaged ? The symptoms sound like a cam sensor issue.
