Impact wrench
I am going to buy an impact wrench, it is only gonna be used around the house and on my truck. Is this one okay???

I figured i'd buy one because i cannot get the control arm bolts to budge with hand tools to replace the bushings, and i have to replace an axle u-joint sometime soon, so i figured this would be very helpful.
Thanks

RE: Impact wrench
If you are just going to use it occasionally, you could go with this:

I had one of these before I was given a high priced impact gun as a gift. It never gave me any problems (It has been 4 years without an issue), was very low priced, and I still use it when I don't feel like taking the expensive one out. People like to talk trash on some of their products, but everything I have ever gotten from Harbor Freight has lasted as long as my more expensive tools.

RE: Impact wrench
Air hose size is also important. I can tell a big difference in mine when I am running directly off the compressor with a 1/2" line versus the smaller yellow coiled hose (I think 1/4" hose). Also, the longer line you have from the compressor to the gun, the less power you have to the gun due to friction loss. If you can get setup that way, go with the larger chucks on your gun and compressor.

Addmittedly I'm not a little fellow, 280+, but I can break things loose with a 18" breaker bar that these smaller tools will not touch.
That's my experience................................Griz

i'd get the bigger one from low's... 500 ft lbs will take anything off. actually, you might consider both since they're cheep... use the smaller one 1st and if it doesnt pull it appart, then go to the bigger one. reason being is the potential for snapped bolts, studs etc...
had it happen 1 time... that was enough...
