whistling trans & does'nt want shift when cold
 

My tranny whistles when shifting into third. Also it does'nt want to shift into 2nd. for about the first mile . Once the motor warms it shifts fine. I changed the filter and put in a pint of tranz x it helped for a while but problem came back. Any thoughts?

Did you check your fluid level?

Also, sometimes...with that trans "fix" stuff, you're supposed to run it for a while and then change the fluid. I'm not sure what the instructions are for that particular one, so you should checkk it out.

The fluid level is about a 1/4 inch above full. Directions did'nt say to change the fluid after adding tranz x. I put it in a week after changing filter and fluid.
