I'm suppose to be getting a set of full size horns off a truck. I wanna get some ideas on mounting. I guess it would help to have them but oh well. I gotta meet up with the guy to get them

Yes sir! The fire company in the next town over had a tanker built for them. I guess when the company that makes the fire truck gets the cab and frame assembly from Mack (i think thats what there truck is) They take the stock air horns off and throw them in a pile. When they went up to see the progress of their truck the one guy saw them and asked what they were gonna do with them. They said they get rid of them so he asked to have a set. He had them on his chevy for a while then before he traded it in he took everything off. I asked him what he was gonna do with them and he said I could have them. He was suppose to drop them off months ago but hasn't yet. I need to stop by his house some night and be like where they at.

My plan is to get a good sized tank and compressor so I don't have to worry about running out of air. I hate hitting air horns in the ambulance and running out of air.

I was thinking about mounting them on the frame too

Well guys I finally got around to picking them up yesterday. They arn't the big chrome horns like I was expecting. They are 3 medium sized trumpets. I also bought his tank off him for 30 bucks. Now I need to get a compressor or 2 lol. Been looking on ebay have a few possibilities.

Actually I need my engine back and running so I know where to mount the damn things.

anyway heres a pic
