Default v6 a/c bypass part #

ive read all the posts but most are for 5.9. i need to bypass my ac. does anyone have the belt part # for a 97 v6. are there any v6 oners that have done this and could look at there belt for the number. i dont think the guy at my local napa will let me try different sizes.

the only thing i could se being different between yours and the 5.9/5.2 is the crank pulley, but im thinkin they are the same also...... whatever you do, dont get a belt made for a truck without a/c cuz they had a puley to replace the a/c, i recall a thread where a guy bypassed his with a toyota part # belt

the sticker under the hood shows with and without but doesnt show an extra pully. but i think i read that also. thats why im hoping to get a number.

My dad has a Sport Dakota with the 3.9L and doesn't have A/C. It doesn't have a bypass pulley. Its a different belt for sure. You should be able to go to the parts store and have them find a belt for non-A/C.

why not go with a A/C bypass pulley.

$34.95

This way you can still use the rite belt for your truck, I messed around with belts and did not like the end result and did this instead.

Gates P/N K070880 should be the one you need...88.5" long...

well im going to try the one for no a/c and see if it fits. hopefully it works.
