Default anyone with the spectre cai

i was changin the oil in my truck today and was playin with the throttle arm on the side of the throttle body and noticed that the black plastic pieace on the throttle arm hit the spectre black plastic thing that sits on top of the throttle body at 3/4 throttle so my truck isnt gettin full throttle because of it. i was wandering if anyone that had the spectre cai would check and see if theres hits also ?

do you use a spacer? Is it a 14x3 or cold air intake?

well if will run a spacer under the tb it will not help

so we need a spacer to go on top of the TB between the TB and the air hat, then we will have a problem with the clamp to hold it down

we realy cant do anything,, the only though i have is heating up the plastic so i cant put a dipple to clear

but before i do that i kinda want to hear from spectre,,

i looked on there web site they are closed on fridays thats my day off

I ran a Specter and noticed the same problem with the "hat" obstructing the action of the T.B. linkage. I took it off and sold it on Craigs. Bit the bullet and bought a K&N FIPK2 with the hughes 14" filter. Way better flow and with headers, it isolates the heat away from the filter with the heat shield. You get what you pay for.
