A Guide to Superchips Transmission Tuning for Your 4.7l Dakota
Here's a website I have created and is in the works:
http://dakotasctranschedules.awardspace.biz/sc.html It will provide you with some helpful information to creating a shift schedule for your dakota. Please let me know if you have any questions, comments or suggestions. All information that I provide has been found on the internet or from personal experience. Enjoy! |

Nice work man and good info.
This is stickable! :D |
Thanks Billy.
Just be patient with the site guys if its loading slow. Since the server is free, its also the slowest. If traffic begins to exceed over 5gb a month, then Ill have to upgrade the account and it will speed up. But for now the files are pretty small so the pages should load in a decent amount of time but the excel files will take a few seconds longer. Let me know if you want me to address any questions in the website. The files are easy to edit. And anyone that has a schedule for any year and wants to help other guys out by posting it up, send me a PM. |
Now I just need to buy my 3865...!! lol ahh
|
wow thats very good man thanks

Very nice. I'm still a little worried playing with the trans schedule though. I think I'll just watch this thread for a couple months first =)

It's really easy once you get used to the Excel charts. Has everyone that has the program removed some of the torque managment? That by itself is a worlds difference.

Great stuff.
With your schedule, it shows 2p crossing, why is it ok for 2p? thanks,Eric |
Most guys have 2p following the same pattern as 2 until it hooks off towards the left side of the graph. You can change it though to your preference, and 2p can cross because its a gear used only for passing and not in a normal up/downshift pattern. Only when you mash the pedal in 3rd gear will the transmission shift down to 2p, and it will shift back up to 3rd which is the reason why it can cross the lines for 1st and 2nd gear.
Update: I should have a pretty well perfected shift schedule up by tomorrow. I hope to be driving around with it daily after I finish it up tomorrow afternoon. |
