HID's
 

I'm looking to get some more light out front, I've tried 100w foglamps, but they burn out in a couple of weeks. Would a HID headlight conversion kit really increase the light output? I've seen these on V-LED's:

but it says they are only 35 watts?... would they really work with our heaqdlight housings? and are they that much brighter than the sylvania ultras i'm running now?

i think these would work, lets wait and see for other responses and then we will both order them (; haha. jk i gotta save money. installed red leds under my dash today. airaid intake tube arriving at autozone tomorrow and then my aries bull bar will be here later in the week

From what I gather from HIDs in our trucks is the housings can properly redirect the light from them, so it ends up lighting up the road right in front of us and not much farther. Basically you just blind oncoming drivers, while looking badass ofcourse. But some have HIDs and swear they do wonders. Be a guinea pig Kent, take one for the team!

I have tried HID retrofits in numerous vehicles and there is a reason auto manufacturers no longer try to put HID lights into reflector housings such as ours. Unless the housing is specifically designed for them it is physically impossible to get a decent amount of light on the road without blinding oncoming drivers.

If you are going to go with HID lights do a full projector retrofit. There are a few companies out there that sell them and they require very little modification to your truck. Mine just fit though the existing bulb holes and plugged in. A proper retrofit will not only reduce the overall douchbaggery associated with blinding other drivers but will actually put the light where you want it.

Those are the exact lights i'm running right now and they are definitely much better than stock. I did however notice more other driver's flashing me though.
