The Cortex supports a much wider range of vehicles; there's one for Ford (gas and diesel), one for GM (gas and diesel), one for Chrysler/Dodge cars and trucks (gas and diesel), and more… and it has an additional two year drivetrain warranty and covers engine and transmission up to a specific dollar amount that the Flashpaq does not offer. If you can still get the 3950, it can't hurt. I'm not exactly sure how the 2 year warranty works, but the 3865 is a solid tuner. They both work exactly the same on our trucks. |

That's how Amazon works. They work on the simple principle of supply and demand. If they start selling alot, the price will go back up. Selling few= low prices. But great idea dakotaff.

Well I just ordered my Superchips 3865...got it from Amazon. $300...not too shabby, yeah it would have been nice to wait and maybe save $25-50, but I am gonna be home from Afghanistan in a few weeks and I want it waiting for me when I get home. Yeahhhh buddy.

I know I've been looking into either painting my headlights like the night runner or buy some night runner headlights. This link is what I've found if anyone else is interested in buying some. I think the price is decently fair but if you want to put the time in and bake your own head lights and then paint...do it...don't waste money if you have patience...

I have an extra set of headlights and tried baking one of them to open it. That damn glue that they used would not budge, I cooked that damn headlight for a long time.

well I don't know if this is considered a deal or a steal and I'm not even sure the parts are a good fit...but I think its a good cheap alternative to buying a full magnaflow(or any other manufacturers) kit:
Dodge Dakota 2005-2009 Customizable Dual Exhaust Kit basically you can build your own exhaust and pick the parts you want in it...I haven't found one option that is as expensive as a full cat-back kit from magnaflow($637.41)...$359.00 is the price on the kit that I want to get...Thats a really good price i think... |

Timbren rear helper kits are on sale at Stengel Bros, Inc.
They used to be $199.50 plus shipping. Now just a tad over $175 and free shipping. ---Part # for 2005-2011 Dakotas--- 4x2 Front: DDF05A 4x2 Rear: DDR052 4x4 Front: DDF05A 4x4 Rear: DDR05 Stengel Bros claims the DDR052 will work for the 4x4 rear as well, but Timbren's website states that DDR05 is the proper part for that application. I have been eyeing this kit for a while, and may pull the trigger now because of this. Just wanted to share the deal with the rest of you. |
