Locker or limited-slip??

Anyone know where to get an aftermarket limited-slip or locker for our rear axles??

sdsdsd 11-21-2008 09:18 AM

I would think your local speed shop.

lghtngblt02 11-21-2008 09:38 AM

Like sdsdsd said or look one up online, its just a 9.25 dodge/chrysler rear end... :D

superdak05 11-21-2008 12:32 PM

stay away from the locker. only used in the dirt or sand. you wont like it on the street. they tend to pull to one side. just go to dodge and ask for a corporate rear for your year truck. corporate is the posi set up when the tires spin. not that one legger stuff

cramerica 11-21-2008 03:34 PM

Hmm, my build sheet lists my 9.25" as a "Corporate" axle, and it is a professional one-legger. I think the LSD's are called Anti-Spin Differentials in the build sheets. They are also supposed to be highly susceptible to failure, search "C-Clip" in the 1500 Ram forums. I would stay away from a factory LSD. Google and see what you like. The Detroit Truetrac seems like a pretty solid and wear-proof unit.

I don't know what you guys are talking about when refering to corporate. My truck came with the Dodge posi rear-end...I believe the factory posi is a quality product. The limited slip units are low rent. I have heard horror stories about aftermarket lockers for street use. If it's a dirt truck, by all means get a locker.

superdak05 11-21-2008 06:58 PM

if your sht says corporate and only one tire spins then it is either a misprint or your housing is busted. my corporate leaves two very nice blk strips when i take off. might want to take a look into it

ericemery 11-21-2008 07:06 PM

I also have a corporate, and it loves to eat up both rear tires...

I had a little issue with mine when I first go it. but they replaced it and its way better now.

It used to kinda jam in... one tire would spin a bit, then the other would come in way later and kinda throw the truck sideways...

I dont know if its a "common" thing. but the newer one has never done it.

flyboy1304 11-21-2008 09:59 PM

mine has the Corporate... and it lays down some rubber no problems thus far

lghtngblt02 11-21-2008 10:06 PM

hmmmm, this is what I received from dodge, awhile back
