I didnt want to thread jack his thread, so I decided to make this one quick...

I have had this carbon fiber vinyl sitting in one of my tool boxes for at least 4 years now... I originally got it to do some dash pieces on my liberty, but never got around to it...

This vinyl has lost a bit of its adhesiveness, so this is more of a conceptual thing right now than a "final draft".

I thought it was going to be toggle switches lol

yeah, I didnt really know what to name this... so I went with that.

I am thinking I am going to paint a simulated carbon fiber. this vinyl just isnt going to hold. its too old or maybe its been too cold... it just doesnt want to adhere to the piece.

looks pretty cool tho, i would try and use some xtra adhesive glue to get it to stay..

turbot_bird Apr 20, 2009 11:51 PM

or heat gun

ericemery Apr 21, 2009 12:26 AM

the heat gun didnt work... I tried

I may try to find some new vinyl...

or I might just say screw it and not do anything. That idea was more out of boredom than anything...
