From the HO cams to the 212s...HO cams are 7 less horsepower but have 12 more ft lb of torque. Same performance upgrades, except the 212's had a 72 MM TB as opposed to the 70 mm TB on the HO cams. Sounds like I'll be going with HO's. Much less money overall, DIY direct fit, no other parts need, no tuning needed.

My brother, that is why I always say best bang for the buck, H.O. cams no doubt.

I'm planning on getting a set of H.O.'s or maybe 206's but i heard somewhere that H.O's were good for around 40rwhp... is that possible or just bull****?

40 rwp, seems pretty high, maybe with a custom tune

I found a set of the stock HO cams for $255.30, brand new, and an '08 intake manifold for $208 brand new. $509.80 for all 3 shipped, which ends up being $25 cheaper than AirRams website. For an additional $9 you can get two day express delivery, or for $23 more dollars you can get next day delivery, which would still beat airrams prices by $2 and you'd have it the next day.

That is a good deal but you won't see 40+ rwhp with HO Cams. You are realistically looking at 18-24 depending on your setup. I've heard several people saying things like "The 06 HOs are 40hp more than the 02 4.7L, all you need are the cams." LOL, not true there are 17-19 engine differences between 4.7L HO and Magnums depending on the years.
