Default 2006 Dodge Dakota

I have a 2006 Dodge Dakota and the stock unit didn't come with an ipod adapter. So I was wondering if anyone has any info on how to get an adapter for the stock stereo or if anyone has any pictures of the back of the head unit? Any help would be appreciated. Also sorry if this is in the wrong section, I'm new.

Edit: Another question is if the stock stereo has RCA cables in the back of the stereo

I got a peripheral brand Ipod apapter for my factory RAQ Headunit,I'm not sure if the Daks have the same headunits as us Ram owners but I'm sure peripheral will offer something, just google "peripheral Ipod adapter dodge dakota" or something like that.

Why not just use the AUX jack? That's what I use for my MP3 player and Sirius radio...works fine.

Good point, I didn't realize the '05 and '06 models didn't have them. My 07 has zero options, even the base single CD headunit has an AUX adapter. My bad.

Pac makes an adapter too, but IIRc its like $80+ the later model RAQ radios had the aux input on the front. You can pick up a newer version RAQ radio on ebay for about 50 bucks.

the 2006 models had the AUX input as well (even w/o sat radio). I had one on my other 2006 Dak. My 'new' 2006 Dak has the 6 disc changer w/ SAT and does not have the AUX input.

The back of the unit does not have RCA plugs for an input.

May just want to upgrade your deck to something that works for you. They are pretty cheap these days. Or go with one of those adapters.

Yes I do have an RAQ stock head unit but it does not have an aux port on it. But After reading some of the responses I called around and ask for an Ipod adapter. Best Buy said they stopped doing Interface cables for ipod on stock units but they do FM modulators for around 100 dollars. I was plan on getting that done till I called an auto audio specialists in my town and they are amazing at this stuff. He said that he can order a cord for my stereo and he can hook it up for around 200. He said with this cord I can run it to my glove box and I can control the ipod through my stock head unit. I asked him about the FM modulator and he said that they have bad reception and don't last that long. So i'm going in on tuesday to get the interface cable installed. I am really good with car audio but I didn't want to take apart my dash because in my old 95 camry i did that and the dash fell apart. So i'm going to leave it to the professionals. Thanks for the help though guys. You got me on the right track.
