Do what I plan on doing, go to a junkyard or just a crappy part of town (haha) and fine some peice of chrome to practice on. Go grab a chrome bumper from a junked car or something, that is always the best way with paint is to try it on something that isn't yours first. Good idea by the way.

http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...kL._SS400_.jpg Description: Dupli-color SHADOW Chrome Black Out Coating is a unique black translucent coating system that creates a high end custom dark tinted effect over any chrome or polished metal surface. Ideal for use on wheels, engine accessories, exhaust tips and exterior trim and accessories. SHADOW is resistant to chemicals, nicks, and chips and heat up to 250 degrees F.
