Rancho Shocks to be installed! / Possible new Rims
Just waiting for my TM leveling kit, should be here this week!
Also getting, but not sure if I want 1" or 1.5" rear blocks, I don't mind the raked look.
One question I had was are the blocks I need for the rear single side pinned or are both sides of the block pinned? also the rear shocks are ok with the blocks added right? I'm sure I read on here somewhere that it would be fine.

You want the top of the block to have a pin, the bottom is female, and accepts the pin from the solid axle perches. Most of us ran/run non-tapered/non-angled. With the 1.5" TM kit, I think either a 1" block or a 1.5" block is good. My very first setup was a TM kit and 2" blocks, and it had quite a bit of rake, but its all based on opinion.
The 2" blocks give it more of a factory look.
There is a thread in this forum that shows everyones lift setup, about 5 pages of leveling kits and different size blocks. I am on there too. Try to find it.

I ordered these from jegs.

I think that any of the blocks that have a pin would work. I know the hole in the blocks fit tight on the pin on the axle when I put mine together. I just had to use the ratchet and tighten them evenly.
I went this route since I had to get custom u-bolts anyways.

I dont know the specifics.....
But, I do know that the block kits from advanced auto parts that they stock on the shelves for $20, work with the 8.25 axle. Thats what I had used, because it was the cheapest cost, the quality was fine, and no shipping. The sell 1" 2" and 3" kits. The BLOCKS from the kit will work for the dakota, reguardless of the axle you have. Thats what a few guys are running in the rear. They are painted steel.
