I like this Alot, very nice and clean... What kind of filter did you use... and what type of adhesive did you use to join the angles? Would the regular PVC hot(that blue stuff that comes in a red can) work for this?

Instead of starting a new thread i thought i'd see if I could get some answers here first.

A guy i know has a double cai he wants to trade for a stock one. I've been looking for a system but holding off til i find a cheaper one somewhere (dont see point in spending $300, step dad found one for $150 on ebay for K&N) anyways are these any good? I've seen some guys have them. Do you like them? Seems like water and junk could get in their easily? Is it worth trading or should i hold out?

his is on an '02 ram and i have an '03..would it be an easy swap if i was to do it?

well i was just surfing craigslist and i came across a complete K&N cai for $150. It's off an '06 (only used for about 10k miles) This would fit my '03 right?

If its the same engine and setup it would work. If its a different engine i.e. a 5.9L setup compared to a 5.7L or 4.7L could be slightly different.

buckmaster i used pvc cement the stuff you apply with a brush.
mine was clear but i dont think it matters. something hi temp
would make sense though.

$150 seems steep to me my setup from advanced and home depot
ran me $30. i used a spectre filter but i still got a kn recharge kit
so it'll be the same once i clean it.

If you guys like the sound ,you will really like this ! I have a 2001 Ram 2500 4x4 with a 360. My exhaust syystem was rusting thru and I couldn't trust it lasting on an 800 mile trip , so I installed Pace Shortie Headers that gfo to a single JPA 3 inch exhaust ! If you want the sound of a high performance engine without the cost , this is it ! I didn't do it for the rumble. I did it for the HP and gas mileage ! Before the change , my truck was getting 13.66 miles per gallon on 87 Octane . With 93 octane ,I was getting around 15.50mpg . Now with 87 Octane my truck is getting 15 mpg . I haven't ran the 93 octane yet ! I have been looking at cold air intakes but I am not sure which one is best ! What do you guys think is the best ? Tony
