Default Thank you ALL and Farewell.

I would like to take a minute to thank everyone one this forum for creating such a wonderful site to help people like me figure out the quirks of our vehicles. This site is very well moderated and run. Everyone I've encountered on this site has been very friendly and helpful, however, this is the end of my journey with you all.

Yesterday I traded my Dak for a 2011 Nissan Altima 2.5 S, Special Editon. I was not using my truck for much other than commuting and the rising gas prices made this decision make more sense. I can get around 30mpg combined driving with this car and there's plenty of room for the family. Thanks again for all the help and some of the laughs I've gotten from time to time reading everyone's posts. Its like I'm leaving an extended family lol.

Take Care Everyone and God Bless!

Here's the new ride:

Congrats man! The ride was fun, lol. Good luck with the new ride, and I hope you find a Nissan forum that is just as helpful as this forum is. Cheers!

ouch....a car??? lol...good luck with it man, I had two frontiers back to back (04 & 07) ran them both to more than 50k when I got rid of them. Only thing I ever had to do (besides normal maintenance) was put tires on them. They are well built vehicles. I was actually considering a titan when I traded in my 07, but I didnt need that big of a truck. Have fun and good luck again!

Sad to see you leave the family but I can understand. I myself mostly just use the truck to haul the family around but it is nice to know that when I need a truck, I have one.

lol, same here, I use mine as a truck maybe twice a year. Once in the spring to get mulch and once in the fall to make a run to the dump if I got a bunch of crap to throw away....(and occasionally to pick up a washing machine or something like that for someone who does not own a truck)...but I just gotta have a truck!! call me crazy...

I hear ya loud and clear boys! I never thought I'd be going back to a car when I bought my first truck my senior year of high school, but they lowered my payment, and the gas mileage is already amazing me. Hated to leave the truck population, but sometimes ya gotta do whatcha gotta do. There will always be a truck for sale somewhere and maybe someday I can join the group again.

It's been fun, and thanks for the well wishes!

Good luck with your new Atlima, I hate to see any of you guys selling your trucks, but it happens. I definitely understand though, I only take the Dak on long journeys when it's necessary. Usually I'll cruise in the car, and think how much gas money I've just saved.

yeah... poor MPGs suck, but to feel better i tell myself that although I pay more for every mile I also feel safer every mile I drive with the truck, and I can't put a price on that.

man by ur signature i can tell you had a really nice truck.

but hey that Nissan doesn't look half bad either
