bought my 05 in 2006 with 26000 miles and paid about $14000 plus 2g for the suzuki sidekick that I traded in. No problems and no bad history on it. Just that at the time it was a little high on mileage.

Uea well this place was a joke anyways, people who knew everything about cars and the total for that truck with taxes was 13,426.70 which is way to much for that truck since it was poorly taken care of. I do not need a v8 right but that would be nice. Just gas up here is off the charts, just like any where else. I have no credit that is why i am looking to get a truck to build it up.

you wont save as much $$$ as you think with a v6...
I purchase the dak because its the only mid-sized pick with a v8.
If i wanted a V6 i would buy a ford Ranger.alot of aftermarket support
inline 5 colorado/canyon. a little more support than the dak

Good point. What are you looking for out of your pickup? I chose the dak for the same reason, only mid size that had a V8. If your concern is mileage, I would recommend you make another choice.

Same here. I bought it because it had a V8 and because when I took it for a test drive it laid a nice strip of rubber down the road. It's not a Chevy SS or anything but it's an awesome truck. I've towed way more then what it's rated for no problem. I've put 1800+ lbs of tile, plaster, cast iron tub, and other bathroom chunks after a demo in the bed and it took it no problem (With the suspension squatted way down).

from what I've read the mileage difference isn't that big. If I was buying now, I'd go for a V8. Quadcab is just too heavy for the V6 if you're hauling stuff or suddenly going up a big hill.

I am looking for a truck so i can haul all of my duck hunting equipment around and other things at that. A truck is just good to have you know? v6 or v8 it doesn't matter since i wont be hauling huge loads like you guys. I am not getting it to go off roading since everywhere up here ppl are dumb and bit** to much about it (well where i am)

We just love the extra power of the V8, plus it sounds great with a swap of the muffler.
