Overhead console will not reset
 

I would not have been able to install this console without the help from researching several threads on this forum, thanks !!

I have a 2007 Raider. All my research tells me it is almost identical to a Dakota. I installed an overhead console. Everything works fine except it won't reset the trip miles, the MPG, global reset or the miles to empty.

I noticed today that when the ignition is on and the engine NOT running, the reset button makes the check engine light blink. It doesn't blink with the engine running.

The reset button worked to reset the region on the compass, the trip timer and to clear the Homelink.

The temperature, compass, the MPG all adjusted themselves accurately during a 200 mile trip I took this weekend.

Any Ideas why it won’t reset?

Did you have the dealership "activate" the overhead console in the vehicle's computer system? Sometimes that is required for the computer(s) in the truck to properly recognize "new" equipment, especially electronic equipment like this, and can cause weird issues like this if you don't.

I called local Mitsubishi dealer(Greenville, TX). They said Chrysler had to do it. 2 Chrysler dealers said Mitsubishi had to do it. There computer won't connect to the Raider, go figure.

I read several threads that indicated this would be a problem. OH WELL!!
