how fast where you going? What did the truck feel like? we need more info

I "think" my truck limits me at 140km, I know my old 2000 V6 auto did, Ive never had mine over 130km to check lol, From some things Ive seen it seems it might be a Computer controlled limit if there is on, Not a physical one, But no idea.

The fastest I've gotten mine is 115 mph then the computer kicks in and forces it back down to 110 mph. I'm running the V8.

You referring to RPM's or MPH? Need more info.

mrwhatshisname 03-14-2013 08:15 AM

I am referring to rpm. when I rev the engine in park or nuetral it flattens out at around 4000 rpm. is this normal for a 3.7 v6. Thanks. no other problems.

Yes, that's normal, it's called the rev limiter. We're able to increase both the rev limiter and top speed limiter with a programmer. I bumped mine up a bit, can't remember what I set the rev limiter at, but my top speed limiter is set at 140 mph.

Why would you want to go higher than 4000 RPMs when your sitting still?
