ok I have a 06 v6 4x4 dakota with only 102k on it well driving to work one day transmission just stopped working no power to the wheels. As if I put the car in N so I checked thought maybe I didn't put it in gear correctly. Well it's in gear so I checked 2nd put it in gear lightly tapped the pedal nothing. I'm going about 45 so I pulled off in to a store parking lot. turn off the truck like damn in screwed. well after 15mins I tried to start her again and put her in D. Well she started to go then again nothing has if I'm in N. checked the fluids a little but nothing like just closer to the min line than max level. no check engine light or anything. any ideas

 

Are you checking the fluid level while the engine is running? Make sure to do that.
