OBD fault
I have a new to me 05 v6 crew cab. Runs really rough, not much power. I plugged in my reader and it will not link to the truck. I checked fuses and they all look good.
Is this a common problem? Any suggestions? |
Got a buddy with another reader? Perhaps Autozone or something?

Yes, fuses are good.

It is definitely not a common issue.

I tested the port on the truck. I have 12volts. Its not talking to the computer.

Cheapest route (but the most labour intensive) is to continuity test all of the wires. Use a multimeter and a friend (this is why you have children . . . :) ) and check each pin one by one, to make sure that all of the wires are good. A little chafing of insulation on a few wires can ruin your whole day. If it is the wiring, then replacing the computer will just cost you a lot of money and fix nothing.

So my code reader is shot. Plugged it into another car and it would not link. I ordered new coils and plugs and replaced them. Bought a new scan tool.
Now I get P0157 P2302 P2308 P0300 Looks like the computer |
