first front end problem
 

Well, it's finally showing wear. 14 years, 155000 miles. Still the best front end of anything I've owned. Anyway, PS rack is leaking and sway bar end links are worn. Also my Ranchos have had it. Noticing a lot of bouncing lately. Only got 100,000 miles or so out of those.

Anyway, I'm just going to change everything. I've got all the front end stuff ordered, and was wondering if you guys have had any luck with other struts? Or is Rancho still the only game in town? The reason I ask is I'm about tapped out and can't afford them at the moment - looking at AutoZone's duralast struts/shocks. Then I was browsing ebay and notice Am autoparts selling a set very cheap that look identical to the duralasts . Anyone try either of these?

I've used Duralast on another vehicle, and they have been solid, but don't want the bouncy front end I had with OEM years ago.

No complaints with my Monroe Quick-Struts. Slightly tighter than OEM, going on about 6 years/40,000 miles and still feels the same from day one of installation.

I couldn't find those at a good price either, So I went with the Duralast's. $260 for the front loaded strut/rear shock set, minus a $50 rebate that I'll be patiently waiting for.

Happy Fathers day, I got struts and shocks, how about you guys :)

Well, I had to return the struts. They no longer sell the rears for our trucks. So I'm putting that purchase off till later.

Changed the steering rack, new front rotors & pads, new upper control arms, lower ball joints, sway bar end links and a lifetime alignment. My total is $615. Cheaper than my buddy's monthly payment on his new F-150 anyway.
