I am getting close to 5,000 miles and mine still running great. Was concerned a bit yesterday on an incline with my 2 jet skii hooked up the tranny slipped a few times allowing the truck to roll a bit IN PARK keys in hand. I hope it was just a freak thing but for now on I will set the parking brake not to put so much stress on the tranny. I get about 14.6 city and about 19.2 highway. I have the KN cai and gibson extreme duals, bed cover and a few other little things here and there. I love this truck, pulls what I need it to well. Yeah could use a bit more power but over all this is a great truck. It seems the more miles I get on it, it is starting to perform better

qcdakblue your truck has a defect. this is an emergency fix by the dealer. very important to get it in. there is a plug that needs to be put back in the tranny and a braket needs to be placed over the plug or the tranny slipping in park will happen all the time

I just hit 15,500 the other day, lovin my truck. If it isn't illegal in your state get the K&N AirCharger FIPK kit. I have one, it's not very legal, but someone recommended it to me saying it was...which was dumb but oh well. I also have a stock ehaust though I took off the 2 resonators and muffler and stuck on a Flowmaster Super 40, that thing wakes the dead when i hit 4000rpm. Uhm, that's what i've done performance-wise, another thing I did was convert all my lights except for the headlights and foglights, to LEDs, so now all of my lights together on the truck probably use only about 20w of power, when my stock lights used something like 15w per light bulb, dunno if you're into conserving power from your alternator, but I was since i stuck in a 400w power inverter hehe. And this Christmas i'm going to install a computer connected to two speakers in the roof and a 10" drop down screen.

Just Bought 2006 Laramie 4x4 4.7 with the tow package, its alright, ripped exhaust off and I've had it for a week, got 2 directed SX 12's with 1500d amp and ****s already rattling, funny, stock sounds are awsome. Got 3 red neon bars inside, gonna limo it out and put some chrome graphics on the back quarter to make it stand out, first though I need some snow/mud tires.

Just turned about 3500 miles in my 06 CC 3.7 2WD. Only mods so far are soft bed cover, 20 inch wheels, and sound system. Engine runs smooth and quiet. Tranmission is very smooth. Truck has a few wierd shimmy's and un-settledness at highway speeds, but overall, not bad, but not as smooth and planted as I'd like.

Problems: 2 front rotors and pads + trueing of rear rotors at 1200 miles for a brake shudder. It's going into the shop on Monday for the same thing again. Will be interesting to see what they do this time.

Defect Summary: On certain pickup trucks, sport utility and passenger vehicles equipped with 42rle automatic transmissions, the cup plug that retains the park pawl anchor shaft may be improperly installed. if the shaft moves out of position, the vehicle may not be able to achieve 'park' position.
Consequence Summary: If this occurs and the parking brake is not applied, the vehicle may roll away and cause a crash without warning.
Corrective Action: Dealers will inspect the transmissions and install a bracket to ensure the park pawl anchor shaft is retained in the proper position. the recall began on november 28, 2005. owners may contact daimlerchrysler at 1-800-853-1403.
