Default I'm making a prototype!!!!!

Yes, I can't see myself spending 150+ on a new grille insert so, I made my own...

It's a work in progress, so I will update with more pics as I progress. But here is a little teaser, and yes, I know the left side is low. I gotta flatten it out. ;-)

Oh, and can anyone guess what it's made outta.

that looks sweet!

you shoud have closed in the hole to open up the hood and relocated it to the bottom of the grill.

did you make that outta gutter guard? I can see the rest of the roll sitting beside it

Oh, and I dunno how to relocate it. I wan't it too look the best it can. Especially with this all costing me a total of................... 3 dollars....

Lol, I just wanna see if I like the look of it, without having to spend big bucks, if I like it, I may get a good high quality one in a few years.:-)

Any tips on that relocate?

what I did on mine was. drilled a hole on the end of the lever that you have to push. then got a piece of wire and looped it around the hole. then ran it down the center of the grill and zip tied it. then put a L bend in it at the bottom of the grill. so now when you wanna open up yor hood, all you have to do is pull down on the piece of wire to open it.

a clothes hanger would work just fine. then you wont have a hole cut out in your grill and cut your finger when you go to open it. that gutter guard can be pretty sharp

Oh ya, for sure.. I hope it turns out well...

I dunno how the longevity of the gutter guarding is though. I did my sisters Liberty, hers was easy, as I could leave the stock grille behind it, and it's NOT going anywhere.
