New Wipers

My driver side wiper ripped so I stopped by Oh-Really's and picked up a pair of the Rain-X blades. Thought about Bosch, but they were $5 more each. We are supposed to get rain for the next three days, so I'll reply with comments. Is anyone currently using these blades? Should I have coughed up the extra $10 for the Bosch?

I just go for the cheapest I can find.... they usually last me all of one summer, and then a new set for winter.... prolly 10 bucks per season.... not bad...

I run the rain X blades. I love them. I dont know what Blu_ is talking about. I switched to these from the Anco's... I save the 4 or 5 bucks and have just as good of a blade. (IMO)

hey jaybird....i'm, at least, interested to hear what you think of the Rain-X...once the stock wipers go, that's what i was considering getting and it'd be helpful to hear your perspective....

thanks!

another random thought...i switched to the rain-x windshield washing fluid (or wishy washy stuff, as i call it)...that stuff is FANTASTIC!!!! water just beads right off....hardly use the wipers.

i userainXfor my windows too... i love that stuff.. it also helps keep frost and ice off the windows too.. the anti fog used to work well but they must have changed the formula and it doesn't work like it used to. The regular stuff works miracles...

I don't know how it is in other states, but here in New York the yearly state inspection process is a bitch..... Wipers are something that is included in the inspection, so chances are the station you take your truck to for inspection will change them, saying the old ones were defective - a definite money maker for them.
The last place I brought my truck to installed Bosch wipers, and each wiper was $15 + tax. Basically I paid about 33 bucks for two wipers. But, if it's only once a year, I guess it's worth it - they work like a charm.
