Yea, some people definately have more money than brains! No way that will ever be a good investment, almost a million for a 70K car...Can't fix stupid...

Did you read the article. It's not a investment, it's a charitable donation with benefits. 90k car that will be very collectible. But the 825k-90k(market value) is a tax deductible charitable donation to help others. The buyer obviously gives more than that to charity anyways and most likely gets 40% back in tax savings.
825-90= 735 x .4 = 294k back in his pocket as a tax deduction
Total actual cost of vehicle: 531k but whoever bought it didn't care about the money.

Kudos to all involved for generating funds for charity. Not many new car intros could pull that off.

Seriously though, that's great they donated so much to charity and at least it involved a cool car that DOESN'T DRIVE ITSELF!

This is the beginning of a lifetime long rant against the autonomous automobile. DEAL WITH IT.
