All V6's are FlexFuel (E-85)?
So I went to fill up my V6 RWD Citadel and was caught off guard by the yellow gas cap stating E-85/Gasoline. I didn't realized that it was a flexfuel car, nothing on the sales-sticker or the actual car stood out to tell me so.
The owners manual says "Only vehicles with the E-85 fuel filler door label can operate on E-85." And shows the E-85 badge. The thing is, I have no "badge" that says this. Just the gas cap. Under the hood there is a sticker that says gasoline/ethanol. So I think i'm in the clear. Are all the V6s cool with E-85? Thanks! |
I believe all v-6 11' D's are cool with e-85, but the mpg is not that great. here in jersey e85 prices are too high and mpg too low to benefit from it. I ended up with the hemi which is not e85 compatible but just did a trip about 300mi and averaged about 19-20mpg with 4 passengers

From my previous expirences (past vehicles) e-85 had to be about 35% cheaper than gas to break even.

Thanks,
Not too interested in the benefits of E-85, I just want to make sure i'm not going to break things if I one day decide to use it. |
