Hi Libra,

I just bought a Durango yesterday. My car started at $40,655 and we got $7K taken off of the car plus a decent trade in value for my high mileage Charger. I think your deal is pretty good right now but I think you might be able to get a little more off of it.

Good luck to you!

Tom

that's $4k below dealer cost. FOUR THOUSAND...not $4k below invoice... $4k below holdback. how much in rebates?

here's a link to your truck with msrp, invoice and dealer cost + rebates. if dealers sold cars this way they wouldn't be in business very long..

http://www.truecar.com/price_report_...ice=33336.0000

once you open that, click on the details tab and help us understand where these extra rebates or money off comes from lol

trying NOT to be too confrontational with some members but some of these "deals" are beyond outrageous and clearly in the less than .0001% of car sales.

we all can't be that "lucky" or "good". my dealer took all but a couple dollars in holdback out, but hit me another $567 in BS "fees" that plus the couple dollars in holdback gets them there small profit (plus helping them toward their monthly sales goals or quarterly mfr bonus cash)... only way to get a dealer to "lose" money is, they screwed up and are making up for it by taking a hit on your deal or taking a vehicle they cant get rid of (e.g. demo, scratch, ding, odd option combo etc).. the other way is when you qualify for a rebate and they don't tell you and use that money to show a loss to you so you think you made out and they look like the suckers lol

Don't sweat it TonyCrew. Indeed some of these "deals" are either fantasy or lack of understanding. Reality is way far to the left and not likely to mingle with the others.

Go to Zag.com and price it out with the same exact specs and have them price match it.
