Put the HID's in the headlights and LED's in the fogs

Put 5000k HIDs in the headlights wired with a relay harness and 7.5 watt Cree LED bulbs in the fogs. The Cree led's are just as bright as the 25watt stock bulbs but match the HIDs perfectly. Just waiting on some sunny days here in FL to install my gunsmoke heads/fogs/taillight lamin-x tint.

yes and no...I bought the H16 which fit in the opening and seal up perfectly however the alignment tabs are off ever so slightly...i have a bench grinder set up in the garage and it took the plastic tabs down to nothing in a matter of a second...the grinder may have been a little over kill for the little sliver of plastic that needs to be removed but i like to go big or go home lol. Once the little sliver is gone they snap right into place and seal up perfect...3 days of solid driving in the rain now and no moisture in fogs at all.:icon_banana::icon_chickendance::icon_dance-tap::icon_headbang:

Hey 2012sxt,
Did you need a resistor on the led fog lights and where did you purchase?
Thanks.

Looks real nice, where did you get you hid's?

Singh81 Jun 26, 2012 12:41 AM

Looks awful. Hid do not belong in non projector housing.

Do a retrofit or swap them out for projector housings.

wow who pissed in your cheerios? I know its just your opinion and all but didnt your mama ever tell you if you dont have anything nice to say dont say it at all? And I would have to say the multimillion dollar HID light industry would have to prove that more people like them than not. :icon_tongue:
