Problem with the D (rear parking assist)
#1
Problem with the D (rear parking assist)
we recently has some fairly cool weather pass through eastern North Carolina and since that time, my rear parking assist has subsequently failed to function properly. The rear view camera is operating as normal, but there are no warning chimes when the vehicle is near any fixed or moving objects. Obviously this doesn't affect the functionality of the D, but I like using the parking assist quite often. Has anyone had a problem like this

HemiDD,
Below are instructions for turning them on and off in the EVIC. If the park assist system is turned on and it still does not work I have also included a case file that the dealer would be able to check out for you as a possible cause.
Park Assist System
The Rear Park Assist system will scan for objects behind
the vehicle when the transmission is in the REVERSE
position and the vehicle speed is less than 11 mph
(18 km/h). The system can be enabled with Sound Only,
Sound and Display, or turned OFF through the EVIC. To
make your selection, scroll up or down until the preferred
setting is highlighted, then press and release the
SELECT button until a check-mark appears next to the
setting, showing that the setting has been selected.
