My check light lit up this morning and since this is a new SUV, i'd like to run a self test but unlike my 2008 Durango, theres no off/on/off/on key test since the new trucks you press a button while holding the brake down to start. Does anyone know to do this? The truck runs fine and no problems but would like to know just in case.

 

Take it to a local parts store. They will scan it for free.

 

Not sure how the 2014s push button start is, but on my 2012, the button pops out and I can put the key in there. After that, I can do the same "key dance" I did previously on my 06 Magnum.

Or you could go to an auto parts store and scan it.
