Default R/T kumho s new shoes already??

My 2012 has about 16k on it and I feel like the top of the treads are not far away from the wear bars. I rotate every 6k religiously with oil change. Anyone else with low miles ready for new shoes soon??

Seriously. I did the old quarter and penny check.. Lets just say old GW and Lincoln weren't hiding in those treads. No Bueno!

Not sure what we're expected to get from the Goodyears either, but at 35k on my Citadel the wear bars are awful close to the tread surface. I'm not sure I'll get much past 40k. That seems decent, but I will definitely be looking for some better rubber if I'm going to be replacing them ever 40k anyway.

Anyone have recommendations? Anyone have experience with the Yoko Parada Spec-X?

Port Cop...I am close to 17K on my Kuhmo hoops I am currently on my 3rd rotation. Here is a pic of my LF tire. It's hard to see the wear bar and I dont have a tread depth gauge, but I estimate that I am somewhere between 7/32 - 8/32. The tread depth on the tire when new is 10/32. So if the wear bar is 2/32, there is 8/32 of total useable tread and I consumed 2/32 so far. With 5/32 - 6/32 of remaining of tread depth, I might get an additional 35 - 40K if I don't run down to the wear bars?? Kuhmo rates this tire at 60K. Either way tires are junk and I will probably change out sooner than later. I had to road force balance the set and match mount 2 to reduce the vibration, but I still have intermittent issues. Probably go Michelin on replacement.

Note: the picture imported upside down.

12Hemi I can't see us getting close to 60k on these Kums
The issue I have had with Yoko s is the compound tends to be harder which makes them very noisey. I tell you believe or not I may look into Nexens. I have the CP 662 that came on my Kia Optima SX and the tire is awesome. Have 42k on it and it is a low profile tire with plenty of meat on them. They don't make this particular tire for SUV s but I may research their SUV sport truck options. Your pic looks a lot like my tire situation by the way. Appreciate the pic

We had a 2011 Chrysler T&C with factory kumhos on it. They were nearly bald at 18k.

The best part was is the dealer tried to beat us up on that fact at the trade in. Obviously that didn't fly. Junk tires.

Default anti-Kumho

Our OEM Kumho's lasted a whopping 12k miles and were below the wear bars! Of those 12k miles I have maybe driven 1000 of them and I highly doubt my wife was leaning into the turns, and dragging from light to light around Pittsburgh (As this I type this I start to wonder).

The KUMHO's SIMPLY DON'T HOLD UP.

Wrapped the new rims in Nitto 420s's yesterday which shot the bottom out of my plans (and budget she allows me) to use the basically new Kumho's for a year on the new rims, and put some blizzaks on the OEM rims for winter.
It will still happen but it will definitely further enhance the bad taste in my mouth for Kumho and Dodge for putting them on any vehicle.
