I doubt it as well. I was told in 2011 that they were considering it and then later on told not gonna happen. SO I will believe it when I see it.

I really hope this is for real! i have been dreaming about one of these for the last 2 years! I wonder if this does come to fruition, where will it slot into the SRT line-up in yerms of price...if it will be above or below the JGC?

I would also love to see what kind of a wheel design they end up going with? id love to see a deaign similar to the current Viper wheels. Anything is better than our stock 20" rims.

The GC SRT8 is laughable with options at $65,000+ I cant imagine what they would charge for the Durango SRT8!

Cool

Want and afford are two different animals. Figure north of $60 grand, a bit rich for most here. Too, they said this: "The SRT Durango might be merely in the planning or proposal stage..."

And WHY does a supposed MOPAR site compare the SRT Durango to the Pontiac GTO??? The comparison should be to the Dodge R/T line. Idiots.

i think if they did it and kept it near $50K it would
be sellable and doable since theres no turning back now for the $60K + jeep and deep inside Giles wants the JGC SRT8 to be cheaper...

but no way they will make another mopar $60K+ SRT8 SUV In my opinion..to compete with their own brand..
maybe an SRT Design durango? or an R/T Super D (supercharged!)

Agreed wholeheartedly, hell I bought my '05 SRT8 Ram new for $52,000 which I thought was pushing it but hell it had a Viper V10 in it but $65k plus for a Jeep is getting out of hand!
