How do your 22's ride?

It's time for new tires so I plan to get a set of gloss black Viper reps at the same time. I was wondering if anyone has had any issues with the ride quality or towing performance after switching to 22" wheels ?

I dont tow anything, but have had no issues so far, have about 3k on my Vipers with NItto's 420s, I have not felt much difference at all over driding the stock 20's for 10k before I switched out. Good luck :icon_couch:

I run the nitto's as well and very happy with them as well as the 22's overall...completely changes the look of the rig!

No difference felt at all from stock to 22's. I'm running the Falken ST/Z04's rated at 50k miles and love them.

No difference in mine either, and I have towed my trailer and side by side!

really depends some on the tires and size you choose. My wifes Durango has 285 40-22" Toyo Proxes ST2's and my Jeep SRT has the nitto 420s in 285-35-22 and we both feel the Jeep rides better. The Proxes are a little noiser and just don't feel as nice as the nitto 420

i like the ride better...firmer and stickier...

Thanks for all the feedback. I think I will order a set from Dennis at DD Mods as they are also active in the Corvette community.

I am curious as to why 285's were chosen assuming evryone is running a 9" wheel?

are u thinking of wider or thinner?

a few guys run 275's...but the 285/40 was closest to factory diameter when I researched tire sizes if I remember correctly...but you can of
course run either one, just preference...i think u can go wider with no issue, i know a few guys run staggered with 10's in the rear..

285 has more options than 275 (Nittos only I think) and 265 is just a little too thin and narrow for my taste. All personal preference, but watch the offset if you go 285, they will look a lot wider and may make your tires look far out from the fender if you go as low as 35 offset.
