Default Rear roof mounted A/C controls rattle in my R/T

Like the title says. I have a rattle in the a/c controls in the headliner of my R/T. If I place my hand on the a/c box the rattle stops.

Dealership ordered the part today to find out it's on national backorder. I assume others are experiencing this if the part is backordered. Anyone come up with a solution to it yet?

Thanks...

I also had a rattle every time I hit a bump on the highway. I elected to try and see if I could fix it myself before having the dealership look at it. I pulled down the center interior light which gives you limited access to the headliner. I placed some foam padding in and around and drove it before buttoning the light back up. I was lucky as I located the rattle and stopped it using this approach. The rattle seemed to be in the area where the headliner curves back up (area of ac box) and where the moonroof parks when fully opened. Not sure if this is any help but the rattle noise can be resolved via trial and error.

Does anyone know how the rear a/c controls are removed from the headliner? There are no screws and I have been unable to determine if it's held on by clips or if the black face on the a/c control box needs to be removed to access screws and/or clips.

Thanks

Just had the kit installed a today. Quiet so far. Kit was ordered and delivered at dealership in 2 days. No backorders in the Midwest? There is a Star Case for this issue.

Less than 24 hours, the rattle is back. While not as pronounced, the fix did not work. Back to the dealer. :-(

Damn, I think it needs padding between the controls and the roof.
