Post Should I change from 89 to 93 Octane for a RoadTrip?

Taking a road trip with the wife, son & godson to NC the week of Thanksgiving, been driving the Durango with 89 Octane since we brought it in July, should I switch to 93 Octane for the road trip?

Agree with Steve. Played around with diffetent brands of fuel and octanes and my DD gets best mpg with 89 no matter whos or how I drive it.

For road trips I use the cheapest gas available. If you don't have pre-ignition / or engine knock with 87 octane you'll be fine. It seems to me the biggest determining factor to MPGs is the fuel blend which changes from at least region to region and maybe even state to state. When you get back home keep using what you've been using, 89 is the recommended grade...

I ran 87 Shell at the track for 15 passes with the D and never once did it ping. Haven't tried 89 yet.
