2014 Pentastar V6 RPM

Those with the v6 and 8spd tranny, could you tell me what kind of rpms you see at 70? What kind of fuel mileage are you seeing? Thinking about an SXT w/ v6.
Thanks Wayne

Ok thanks. Seems to turn high rpms at highway speeds. Tell me how the eco works. Are you happy with it? Looking at an SXT plus with the v6. Mostly will be wifes daily driver. On occasion will pull 18FT bass boat.

Mr Wayne> I have a 2012 v6 crew. You can't detect the cylinder deactivation at all, unlike my wife's 2008 Honda Odyssey with the same feature. The Honda "growls" and runs a little rougher when the cylinder deactivation icon lights up. Dodge did a good job implementing that feature.

Also, the 2012 pulls a boat that size just fine. The 2014 models will only be better with the new 8 speed.

with the ECO and 8 speed transmission I love it. I dont even realize when the engine cuts out. Its not like the 11-13 when the ECO kicked in it would show an icon the dash. I live in NYC so ideal mpg isnt great lots of stop and go. It is great though traveling on the highway. Its a great truck and a lot better than my 11 Crew i had before. Highly recommend

Correct me if I am wrong here, but I don't believe the v-6 has cylinder deactivation. If it does, I have been oblivious to that fact for 45,000 miles in my '11 Crew.

I was wondering what the eco button does on the dash under the radio. I drove one Saturday but salesman had me turn it off as soon as we got in. Didn't take it on highway, just in town. He talked about all the features and how smooth the tranny is. I never thought to turn the eco on.
Thanks

I also would like to know if this TIPM issue continues on the 2014 models also. Anyone had any issues with this?
Thanks wayne

I thought the eco light on mine with a v6.the light just shows I'm in the right rpm range to be saving fuel.mine never cuts down the power. Mine is a 13.

No cylinder shutdown with V6
