2014 Durango R/T hemi oil usage
I reported that my brand new, with 1900 miles, hemi was using oil.
Well, in the dealer now, and from what I could figure out is, something with the valves, rings cracked or broken or just not there. New parts on the way. This was over the phone so not much detail, but you can believe that I WILL be at the dealer on Monday, to see the service manager and find out EXACTLY what the heck is wrong with it. I have a loaner to use but that's not good enough. By the way, the suv was leaving me in a blue fog when I started it up after setting over night. Embarrassing for a new suv that costs as much as that did!
This has taken all the joy out of buying a new car.

Valve issue
Update from dealer on oil usage.
One valve on hemi is bad, doesn't seat correctly, not much compression, ordering new valve and a few seals plus a new pcv.
Claims they were able to see the huge plume of blue/grey smoke after they started it up after sitting all night.
So its NOT normal to use this much oil.
I see another new vehicle in my immediate future.
