Default Doors intermittently unlock when locked indoor button

I have had to stop using the lock button on the inside when I exit the vehicle. Once the door is closed, in about 2 or 3 seconds, the doors unlock. The key fob and the exterior button work fine, but create a beep which disturbs the neighbours when I get home late. Anyone else encounter this problem, if so have you found a solution.

you should be able to turn off the beep either through the options on the headunit or the evic.

but it sounds like they are unlocking almost as if they think the key is still inside the car as a failsafe to prevent you from getting locked out.
